Pray John 17 (and Take Your Life of Prayer from Ordinary to Extraordinary

Do you long to grow closer to the heart of God?

Have you spent money on books that tell you what you must do to have a deeper life of prayer? You think to yourself, “Do I need another book on prayer to make me feel guilty?

That’s not my aim in this post, don’t worry. Jesus reassures you when He says,

“Are you tired? Worn out? burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me, watch how I do it.

Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting, on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11:28-30 Message Bible)

In a series of posts, I will guide you through praying John 17. And you will:

  • discover your motives in prayer
  • how to be the answer to Jesus’ prayer
  • learn to enjoy Spirit-led prayer

Also, more and more believers I know long to experience daily dialog and face-to-face friendship with the living God and with others.

Finally, you are created for intimate fellowship with the Father. In the here and now you can take your life of Prayer from ordinary to extraordinary by being the answer to Jesus’ prayer.

Prayer
Dear Father, enlarge my capacity to spiritually understand how I can be the answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17.

I'd love to hear from you, please leave a reply.
